36 weeks

Lila turned 36 weeks old this past Sunday! It was quite chilly last weekend, so we had to move our weekly photo off the porch and back indoors. This fact didn't deflate Lila's enthusiasm one bit.

This picture kills me. Look at those roly-poly, pudgy, edible thighs!

Wherever Lila is, her pal Rocco is sure to be found. He stays by her side during playtime and he stays in her room until she's asleep at night. He's quite the companion.

It was a big weekend for Lila. Her Grandma Z came to visit! There was no shortage of snuggles and kisses in our house, that's for sure. Here's Lila with Grandma and Daddy.

Company can certainly wear a girl out, and when you're worn out, there's nothing better than chilling on the couch in sweats with a big ol' cup of coffee. Especially when it's early... But when it's early it's probably not good manners for your mom to whip out a camera while you're trying to relax.

Lila's teeth are still working on breaking through her gums. For the most part it hasn't bothered her too muich, surprisingly. Her nose has been runny (which may or may not be related to teething) and she has been especially interested in gnawing on everything in sight. But really, aside from the two nubs poking through, we wouldn't really know that she's sprouting teeth. Isn't that nuts, after all these months thinking that she's been teething? Now that she finally IS teething, it's kind of an un-event.
Lila still L-O-V-E-S bathtime. She's pretty funny in the tub. Her favorite thing to do is suck on a wet washcloth. She'll dip the washcloth in water, suck all of the water out of it (loudly!) and then dip it back into the water, lift it out, and suck out all the water. I think she'd drain the tub if we left her in long enough! It's the funniest thing. I try to hold off on soaping her up as long as possible so that she's not ingesting a ton of soap with all the water she's drinking, but even post-soap she's a little camel. Her other favorite bath trick is tossing her rubber duckies over the edge of the tub. Toss, retrieve, toss, repeat, repeat, repeat. Pause occasionally to taste each duck - ya, know, just for fun.

This coming Sunday we're having family pictures taken by the same photographer and friend who took Lila's newborn pictures. I can't wait!

It has been a big week for our girl, so stay tuned for her 37 week update in a few days!
